Ok, so I started getting the eqgame.exe crash...

I just changed the eqlsUIConfig.ini file section...

I just changed the eqlsUIConfig.ini file section below to Show=0 and it fixed the problem for me after trying to log in 20 times or so.

INIVersion=1
XPos640x480=0...

ARRG! Platinum Edition! I'm stupid!

Man, I was sooooo stoked to find this site still running. I had found EQEmu way back when I still played live EQ. I went on to other things, EQ2, WoW, Eve, etc. I don't currently play anything...
